Holy Cwap! I feel sorry for the people who don't have these sets! >>Our source also says they are working on what to do about the two other movies on Volume 3, "The Unearthly" and "The Atomic Brain"<< Hopefully not put them on the next set! Dont feel too bad. Alot of us have the broadcast versions. So its not like the eps are gone for good. They're still out there, just have to know where to get 'em. I will offer them when they can no longer be purchased through Rhino.

Why are people still so obsessed with Sandy Frank? I, for one, could live without the Frank episodes. They weren't all that good, except for maybe Fugitive Alien. I'd much rather see Wood's Violent Years released, or Bert I.'s Village of the Giants. It would be nice to have a definitive word on Frank, and the Godzilla episodes.

So then, you think Hellcats is on the hitlist soon too? Yes. Why are people still so obsessed with Sandy Frank? Have you noticed that we haven't had any Robert L. Lippert movies? Or Bert I. Gordon (except that one abortive attempt on VHS)? And only one "second tier" Ed Wood film? Jeez, doesn't Warners own ANY of this stuff? We also had Beginning of the End. Read my rights list for furthur information on what episodes are likely to be released: forrestcrow.proboards47.com/index.cgi?board=mstchat&action=display&thread=1152828151

I, for one, picked up both volumes 1 and 3 after I heard the news. As a fan, I should have purchased both a long time ago. Either way, it's got me thinking about how to get the ones I can get now while I still can.
Laughed hard the other night with friends over a Catalina Caper viewing.
Ahh, that's the stuff. Good times. I'm nostalgic, I guess. Caper and Sidehackers takes me back to some great times. Happy times.
Either way, I'm bummed to hear Rhino is losing the rights to some great eps. If I could, I'd tell them to do what any sane-minded entity would do when faced with losing the rights to distribute epidodes of what may be the greatest television program of all time:
"Keep circulating the tapes."
MST3K for all.

Good News: I just picked up Vol. One! I watched "The Creeping Terror" last night, and laughed my butt off. The first season 6 episode I've seen that's worth a repeat viewing (no offense to Bloodlust or The Dead Talk Back).
Bad News: Because of how expensive the set was, my dad has forbidden me to purchase anymore boxsets (despite the fact that my dad told me he wanted me to get Vol. 10 for his birthday because of "Godzilla Vs. Megalon." OH WELL!!!)

It was for $59.99. He says I wasted my money. I beg to differ. I've watched Catalina caper, Creeping Terror, and Skydivers, and I think all three of them are hysterical episodes. Bloodlust is the only deadbeat episode in this set.
I've tried to convince my dad, that this is well worth my money (I am working now), and that it is getting recalled soon, and I kinda want to get Vol. 3 soon. But, my dad has said no.
For the record, I have bought DVDs in the past without my dad knowing about it. Hell, for the past 5 months I've been hording Pink Panther DVDs, and just last week my dad noticed them on our DVD shelf. Maybe I can do the same with MST3K sets.

If you do decide to buy more of the DVD's, get them online, or at Circuit City maybe. They're about $35-40 those places. Just a word of advice. Not that i'm encouraging your buying them against your parents will, mind you...

Oi. Dude, just get them from DeepDiscountDVD.com. They're all around $40 there, and there's a free shipping option for everything. It pains me to see people spending more the $40 on any of these sets. Such a waste.

Not sure if the box sets will still be available then, though.

Does anyone know anything about Batwoman? I'm just wondering if something similar is happening with that, because DeepDiscountDVD no longer has it on their site, and prices everywhere else seem slightly higher than they used to be.

Well, I know Batwoman is extremely unwatchable.. can't say if it's going out of print or not.
