I compared Sky's DVD of SWHS with the one on google and they are the same (with the exception of the scrolling text...and something tells me they are going to use the scrolling text as a indicator of when to pause). I think I might attempt my re-author with Sky's DVD. Which one looks better? Mine came from a pretty old tape, relatively low generation. The animated part is more rough, as I recall. The couple minutes of the Google one I watched looked pretty good but I didn't have the stomach to break out my dvd to compare.

Yes, the DVD is from a multi generation VHS tape so it will look rough. And taking a mp4 or FLV file that is heavily compressed and has a resolution of 320x240 and blowing it up to DVD resolution will look bad on a tv too. I think no matter what, we'll have to live with it.

With a Mac , such as I got , I simply go to Window in the menu-bar , click on Activity , find it accumulating it MB's , and click on that line . Viola ! , she's downloading . Do all you dopes with PCs have such a thing ? The ability to download from YouTube or Google video ? Or is there another way the Stars Wars Holiday will be available ? ( interesting that the lure of this has the RiffTrax crew forgoing the "easy to obtain" status of most of their choices, no ? ) Hey Big. Thanks for helping out a brother Mac man. But I'm stuck. I'm in the Window-Activity list, and I see my file. But what do I do now? I can't copy or move the item in the list. Where is the file? How do I manipulate it so QuickTimePro opens it?

Mmmh , we proceeded to PM back n' forth , but then he no doubt had to "get the hell back to work You !"Well , Mr. A. Lemme' know here ( or there ) how it went with the steps we discussed , and beyond ! a PM is fine , but lay it out here & the other 7 Macsters benefit also ! (( I'm still amazed I detailed it to ya' in a way where I sounded like I'd learned things ! must be true ! ))

I was able to download the mpeg4 file from the Google site and looked at it in Nero (my burning program). Looks like I will be in good shape for making my own DVD of this Rifftrax.

I had a friend with high-speed internet access download the file from Google for me, but he says he can't play it. He's running a brand-new Mac G5. He said it appears it can only be played on an mp3 player. Is there something he's missing? I'd like to use this as just a file on my computer and not necessarily go through the motions of turning it into an actual DVD.
Sorry if I'm missing a clear explanation that's already been posted.

Google video says that the download is "for" your PSP or Ipod. Truth is, it is just a regular mp4 video. It will play in a all-purpose media player such as VLC on Mac or PC www.videolan.org/vlc/

I have to say, I'm more excited about this than perhaps any other release. I was crushed when I found I couldn't watch it this weekend.

I am also more excited about this than any of the others. It'll actually be the first one I've actually bought for myself.
When during the day do they usually release them? I was hoping I could get it by now.

I can't burn until I get home so I'm hoping it will be out by this evening.

I'm eagerly awaiting this one -it'll be my fist attempt to make a dvd with rifftrax integrated.
