(While I hoped my last post would end my blithering on the subject, it didn't. Sorry.) I could see a small company like them waiting for the first load of orders to roll in before they have a large set of DVDs manufactured, rather than guessing how many they need to have on hand without knowing how popular the discs will be. They could then have some idea about the rate of ordering in the future, rather than just taking a wild guess. Not ideal, but certainly understandable. That's certainly understandable for an untested, unknown product. If this were an offering from, say, RiffRaff Theater, I could certainly agree with this. I don't think Cinematic Titanic quite fits that billing. While CT is brand new, it is based on a show with a pre-existing fanbase - a fanbase that has already signed up for the CT mailing list. If nothing else that number would give them a ballpark figure upon which to begin estimating their initial orders. (As I am to understand, there are formulas for such things in the world of business - like acceptable rates of response to direct mailings) Those estimates could help them plan their production accordingly. Then again, maybe you have more inside dope than I do. PS : 18681

I'd forgotten about the email list, that would give some insight. Except for the people that signed up three or four times Still, I know that there is an MST3k fanbase out there, but I wouldn't exactly count on it being large enough to pay my bills with a new product like CT. I wonder if there was any communication between the folks keeping the email list and the dvdwagon people about numbers. And no, I don't have more inside info, I'm just shouting out my own thoughts

So no dispatch emails today? None for me and I have the second or third lowest order number. This typo on the EZtakes website always makes me laugh:

Yep, that's my thinking. I have no idea what "good" sales are for that, but it seems a lot easier to make quick money on an audio commentary than a full shadowrama/dvd/movie rights treatment.

My credit card is linked to my checking account. The day after I ordered, the available amount was short by the 15.94 charged. Two days later, it was balanced again; like they charged it, then...uncharged it.
...oh, btw...check your bulk folders Yahoo subscribers. I've found most of my CT e-mails there.
