It was dark and depressing, just what I want from BSG. Good episode.

Does anyone know if previous seasons are watchable online? I watched some of the first season but haven't caught up with the show since then. All I could find on the show's website were web episodes, not actual broadcast episodes. There are plenty of them up here, though most of them are coming from China.

If you're feeling evil, you could try piratebay dog org. And sometimes they show up on youtube for awhile, but not for long.

I like the idea of Starbuck being a younger Ellen, rather than Ellen being an older Six, as has been exhaustively theorized over on the TWoP boards, but my personal theory is Starbuck was/is caught in a time loop or is some kind of god/angel figure.
As for hybrids, I personally think Baltar is one. It explains his wackadoo mental state and "projection" psychology, and how he's able to manipulate both sides without ever belonging to either. And considering how much dogging around he's done, I'm surprised he's never produced any Baltar Jrs, so maybe these hybrids are like mules--sterile.

Adama and Roslin finally fracked.
I think I speak for the entirety of what's left of the human race when I say "About fracking time."
Yes, I used the word "Frack." I'm that big of a nerd.

Too bad that it looks like we're going to have some major character deaths next week.

Good episode. I watched it really late last night, so my memory is a little fuzzy.
* Gaeta vs. Starbuck. Their scene together was tense, and his alliance with Zarek at the end obviously sets some complicated wheels in motion.
* The revelation about Tyrol's son was a little of the soap-opera tendency Mr. A has mentioned, but it does throw a monkey wrench in a few theories. Where does Tyrol go from here?
* Roslin and Adama at the end was well-done. Finally, two people forgot all about everything bad that had happened and just let go. A moment of repose for two tired individuals. Brings to mind that subtle scene in season three, when Adama asks her if she would have "built that cabin" back on New Caprica. Her reply: "Absolutely."

I mean, This actually kind of bothered me a little bit. I mean, is it just me, or do the writers really have it in for Callie lately? I mean first she was kind of depressed and bitchy, ready to throw both herself and her son out of an airlock because her husband was a "skinjob." Then they had her die in a very brutal and unnerving manor. If that's not enough, now she's a slut too? I liked her better when she shot Sharon in cold blood and was stalking Tyrol. That said, the political issues this weeks ep brought up are astounding, setting up the poopie in front of the fan, if you will. I'm definatly interested in hearing how the build upon that.

I'm curious to see which side of the political struggle you'd all be on.
Would you side with Adama and Roslin? After all, as the military leader and tough-as-nails president, these two have been leading everything all along and have faced the challenges and revelations first-hand.
Or would you side with Baltar, the traitorous guru who is seeking a personal redemption by focusing on the spiritual side of things and leading people away from polytheism, into monotheism, and now into blaming God for the apparent bait-and-switch?
Or maybe you're on the rebel Cylon side with the Sixes and Sharons, who are waking up to a sense of humanity (cylonity?) now that they can't resurrect. Are you in favor of their desired right to protection?
Or are you sympathetic towards Gaeta and Zarek, who are weary of the enemy-ally-enemy-ally cycle regarding the Cylons and remember that it was these same toasters who destroyed 50 billion people?
As for me, I'm with Doc Cottle.

It's a hard question to answer, since none of us have lived through the situations they've all been through, just viewed them through a TV screen.
Though, personally, Baltar's a prick, so I definatly wouldn't follow him. While I can see all sides of the argument, I think if I were aboard Galactica, I'd be loyal to Adama. I can see the hesitance of accepting the Cylons into the fleet considering...you know...mass genocide on their record, but us, the viewers at home, have seen conflicts between the Cylons that Adama and company haven't. And even still, that still isn't to say that they don't have a few things up their sleeves.

Awsome, awsome, awsome episode this week. Next week looks amazing too. Agreed 100%. Might be my favorite one since Exodus Part 2. Great to see a little of the old Starbuck. Going to be a long week.

Also agree. Strongest episode in a long time. Hard to keep up with the downward spiral everything is taking. Some quick thoughts:
* It was absolutely great to see a little of the old Starbuck. Do not frak with her. I also loved how she could tell what was going on during the fire alarm immediately. She may be crazy, confused and dying inside, but she's no mutineer. Go Kara.
* A feeling of dread came over me as soon as I saw Laird on screen. I really liked his character, and was slightly disappointed that they spent so little time with him and then brought him back just to off him. Still, it was no less powerful.
* I also loved the way the mutiny snapped Roslin back to her senses. I love the darkness of this series, but I wasn't ready for these characters to lie down and quit yet. They didn't, and it got the old blood flowing.
* The episode reminded me a bit of the first part of the second season, where loyalists to Roslin help break her out of the brig when Tigh arrests her for mutiny after Adama is shot. It was one of my favorite storylines of the series, and this episode took a similar approach and ramped it up big time.
* Selix messing with Sam - wow. I was just starting to look at Seelix like Sam may have been, and then the hood comes down, setting the pace for the rest of the episode. Good, good stuff.
I'm beginning to suspect that even if they wrap everything up in a nice neat package, I'm still not going to be ready for this show to be over. Not after an episode like this. Come on, Friday.

I wouldn't want to be the one who has to update the white board after that episode.

Wow. Galactica has been growing more intense by the week, and last night's episode was one of the biggest nailbiters they've ever done.
Loved it. Beginning to end. Phenominal. Hope the ending to this season lives up to it's setup.
