I was shocked as hell when I walked into the theater in Concord (Mills), NC, to see it was about 3/4 full. I honestly thought I'd be there with maybe 10 people or so. There were about 2 or 3 freeze ups during the short but they only lasted a few seconds and after that it was smooth sailing. It was great to watch something so hilarious with fellow fans.
I'll admit too that this was actually the first RiffTrax I've seen. In my defense I also haven't gotten around to Cinematic Titanic either. I'm just lazy (also cheap) and stick with my MST3K stuff.

I loved it! I was surprised at how full the theater was (between 1/2 and 3/4), considering I live in the middle of the Midwest (though it's also a college town, and there are about four other theaters in driving distance that were showing the Rifftrax Live event as well, so maybe I shouldn't have been surprised).
And I'm glad that Re: Your Brains was played. That's a Jonathan Coulton song I've been trying to track down for a long while now.

I thought there would be more people at the theater, but those that showed up had a good time, lots of laughter. We didn't have any tech issues, it was all smooth sailing. The short was hilarious and I loved that we got a few new riffs for Plan 9.
Good fun.

Just got home from the show. It was a long way to go but well worth the trip. I think our theater held about 200 and Raja and I estimated maybe 160-180 in attendance. We has pretty bad syncing problems through the short and the "without further ado" guy. They didn't detract from the great short and were solved by feature time. The feature was excellent. Mike, Bill, and Kevin are such pros and all definitely brought their "A" games with them. Our audience had a really good time. Do it again soon!

I guess she hosts some shows on the playstation network. I didn't notice if she was shaky, as I get so mesmerized by cute that I block out any other information.

...I hope they release this as a DVD so I can treasure the memories. I agree. It was a very nice production. I secretly feared a "Planet of Dinosaurs" meltdown.

Oh and it was nice to see the Belcourt Theater again. I miss Nashville. (and Veronica Belmont is a cutie) Who is she? She might be a cutie but she was a bit shaky. Agree. She seemed to pretty much be "reading whatever was on that piece of paper" and nothing more. (she even seemed to stumble over the performers' names?) Saw the show in Orange County, CA. (we were on "tape delay") I was pretty surprised by the crowd. Quite a full theater, but not overcrowded. Just right. I had predicted it would either be sold out or empty, so it was a pleasant surprise. Same issues with some quick "hiccups" during the short, but they were resolved. Also noticed our projection had some noticable "ghosting" (faint image offset from the main image by a few inches) but it wasn't much of a distraction. The short was out-of-the-park hillarious! Can't wait to watch it again. (they even added a few call-backs to it during the feature) And I've seen the three-riffer version of Plan 9 countless times, but this was WAY beyond funny, seeing it "live." They added/changed probably 20 or 30 riffs, and it even seemed like the feature itself might have had some extra footage, I don't know. Whatever the combination was, it worked HUGE. Another neat feature was the "riffer-cam" which showed up periodically, showing the riffer's faces in windows on the side of the screen, as they riffed the feature. This was very cool (something I haven't seen at other live events) It was only every 15 minutes or so, but frankly, I wouldn't have minded seeing it used more. Overall, an unqualified success!

I had a blast. The theater was jam-packed and the show was sold out. (I heard about a week ago that the demand was so great, the Regal moved the show to a larger auditorium, and they still sold out.) I loved the entire production. The short was hilarious, the fake commercials were great (especially the one for the Feed & Grain Expo), and I even enjoyed the musical portion of the show. Who could have guessed that Mike Nelson was so adept at the nose flute?
There were some minor glitches early on, but for the most part everything ran smoothly. The riffing was fantastic. I especially enjoyed it when we got to see Mike, Kevin and Bill deliver their riffs on the left side of the screen. I loved the whole crowd vibe. There is nothing like watching a Rifftrax or MST episode in a group, and the energy in the theater was fantastic. All in all, it was a great evening. I hope there will be more!

Also being in Arlington which is right next to Fort Worth, everyone enjoyed the random Fort Worth bashing.

I echo all the praise.
I was surprised with the turnout - probably 80 or 90 people, by my estimate (which isn't always that good). Either way, everyone was right on board from the start and loved it.
We had the same light problems with reception - a few outages early on that lasted about five seconds each - but nothing serious.
And the guys were on. It's really pretty impressive to see them do it live. Definitely a fun time.

We had just a few tech glitches during the short, but no more than a second or two lost each time. The theater was probably 95% full, at least. there were quite a few people sitting in the aisles, but there were scattered open seats throughout the theater and the front row was mostly empty, so I don't think it was a complete sell out.
Loved the short, and the Plan 9 riffing was very good. I'd never see them riff it before, which I was glad of last night since it was all new. The first fake commercial for the Grain Expo or whatever it was was also hilarious.
Hopefully they do this again.
