I was surprised to get the guys autographs after the show, especially since I was in Philadelphia! It was a long wait, but I finally got it. I have it hanging in my cube at the moment: Also note Jerry Maren's (real) autograph on the opposite wall, former Munchkin and Moleman.

Though similar to what everyone else is saying- a few tech glitches during the short but the rest went really smoothe- i found certain parts of plan 9 exceedingly loud though. But i have cruddy hearing. The theater, in livonia (detroit suburb) was probably a 200 seater and was probably 80% full. usually a weeknight movie has oh 20-30 people in it. can't wait for the next one.
I will admit, for this being live, the riffers, movie, and nashville croud laughs were mixed perfectly- so kudos to whoever did that.

I saw it in Ann Arbor. An almost full house. As others have said, it's a fantastic thing to see with a big audience, even if you've already seen the riff. Rifftrax on the big screen gives it a whole new dimension. And they did a great job of blending the new riffs with the old.
I'm starting to think that the two second glitches in the short were nationwide, as everyone seemed to have them. However, on the rifftrax site a guy who saw it in Buffalo said the whole thing went out in the middle of the show and they all got their money back. Somebody else (don't remember where) said that they missed about fifteen minutes of the show and got refunds as well. So now I'm confused. I suppose the weather in those areas might have been the culprit. Don't know much about how these live feeds work.

Loved the show. I was in the Williamsville, New York theater (it's a suburb of Buffalo). Not sure how to get my free stuff. I'm not the guy who won, but I think they said something about getting free stuff. We had some technical issues. Plus, a couple of wannabe riffers sat in front of me. When the blackouts occured, they shouted out completely inane lines. It was like watching the terrible singers on American Idol...some have it and some don't.
Surpirsed how young the crowd was. That was cool.
If someone could tell me what the code was, that would be great.

yipestripe, I believe mike gave an email address with nashville in the name. Not sure if that was for technical problems or for winners.

True on the "mixed just right" part. I occasionally heard the long, lone laughers from Nashville, but it wasn't distracting. That gives hope for the possible live CT releases.
And my own riffs?
When we had an outage that lasted more than a minute, I said, loudly-
"Joel is behind this..."

I went to the Spotlight 14 in Norman; had the same 1-2 second freezes during the short. Otherwise? It was FANTASTIC! I great crowd of young people, college students, parents, and grandparents. I was so worried it was going to just be me and one other SA poster, but nope - it was probably half to two-thirds full.
They definitely need to do this more often!

Now, I have the Legend release of Plan 9, with Mike doing the riffing solo. But for some reason, this time, when I saw the scene on the pilot's back porch, when they were serving Coca-Cola, the product placement seemed hugely obvious.
I'm sure Ed Wood didn't get any money for that. But could that Coke have been inserted into the Legend release?
It may have just because it's the first time I've seen Plan 9 on a big screen...

Like Bix, I thought that they had the right audio mix too. It was good to hear the crowd from Nashville but it wasn't overpowering in the least. Our audience laughed and even clapped on occasion. It really was fun to enjoy with such a like-minded group.
Raja and I were the first to arrive for our show. The dude taking tickets said that they only had seven advance tickets sold. We were two of them! I thought we were basically going to be watching it alone. If he was accurate there was certainly huge walk-up business.
One thing that hadn't occurred to me before was that there is great potential for Rifftrax to pick up a ton of new fans from this and future simulcast events. I pictured only the hardcore fan attending but could tell from the laughter that many in the crowd had never seen Plan 9. The guy next to me laughed throughout. I overhead someone explaining to him how Rifftrax works. So even if the event itself wasn't extremely successful for them (and I hope and think it was) new fans will be brought in from it. And new sales. In conclusion... do it again! But a little closer to me next time. Bring more theaters into the fold. I can't drive 6 hours total and take a day and a half off from work too often.

I noticed that too. And I did notice the eBay winning bidder for having their picture inserted into Plan 9 was still there.

Saw it at the Burbank 16 with a nearly-packed house. Glad to hear that most people saw it sold-out or mostly sold-out theaters. I loved the production overall, but personally could have done without the non-RT material (commercial parodies and musical performance). Not that they were necessarily bad, they just seemed kind of random and not what I was there to see. After the short, it seemed like they would never get around to doing the movie! (I didn't mind the Riff-Tones performance, since at least it tied-in to the feature and almost felt like a good host segment song from the MST3K days.)
But anyway, the riffing on Plan 9 was stupendous, and Mike, Kevin, and Bill were all "on". I laughed out loud many times, and while I haven't been the biggest consumer of Rifftrax lately, this persuaded me to maybe pick up a few more. I do think that half the fun of watching a movie being riffed is the movie itself, so I'm not a big fan of riffing big, glossy, Hollywood blockbusters, bad as they may be. They're a different kind of bad than the schlock of a Plan 9 or The Room.

Arrrrgh. I had to miss this and by all your accounts I missed a grand show! My wife had organized a minor league baseball outting for her work that night and I had to accompany her to the game as one of those marital obligation things. So while you were all basking in the glow of the show and MISTY nerd love, I was out in the oppressive Jacksonville heat watching a sorry assed minor league baseball game. (The Sun's lost, big time.) Yes, not only mediocre football in Jacksonville but mediocre baseball as well. I thought about all the fun I was missing during the whole ordeal.

Sorry, Zman. By all accounts your missus puts up pretty well with all your obsessions. Hopefully you managed not to show your frustration. The show wasn't that good anyway.
*Fingers crossed*

Not that great? Good! <I believe in liars> There hopefully will be another simulcast show sometime soon if this was the success it seems to have been. I didn't mind going to the game all that much. I was good company and swallowed my disappointment. I don't believe in ruining someone else's good time just because I need to go to something I don't particularly care for. Such is love.
Glad you all had a great time. Sorry I missed it.

Yeah, judging by the Rifftrax Twitter feed (*cough*mytwitteraccountis craterlabs *cough), they're definitely thinking about doing it again when they can. Hopefully we won't have to wait for too much longer.
The idea for a video of the night is a good one. I'd certainly buy it.
