The last episode was fantastic. And there's good news - bring on the second season! www.seattlepi.com/tvguide/416290_tvgif5.htmlI didn't think the pool class dress code storyline was going to pay off, but I laughed hard. The show keeps surprising me, and I'm thrilled it's back for another round. I just watched this one last night and really thought it was funny. The pool thing was something I never expected from this show. Nice surprise.

The latest episode involved riffing on movies. If you didn't already like this show, start now they're repeating this episode tonight.

Ah, I was wondering which rerun it would be. NBC has really been hitting the reruns hard lately, which is flipping annoying, if you ask me. At least we get the rerun this week, though. Last week we didn't have any Community at all.

anyone see this past thursday's episode? in a way, i thought it got a little silly, but i ultimately enjoyed it - especially the parody of goodfellas (the layla theme towards the end when things started falling apart for them was a great touch, as was the sixteen candles ending). i just like abed more and more with each episode. he's streets ahead.

Yeah, it was good, but not the best of the season. Sometimes they go for the thrill of the pop culture reference overdose, but it doesn't always come off the best. This was good, but there have been far funnier episodes lately.
Either way, I'm glad it's back. Still good stuff.

again, last week's show got a little silly, but ultimately i thought it was another good one. i missed the first few minutes, when i presume pierce pants'd shirley. i cracked up when he attempted to apologize to another woman who looked similar to shirley. using chevy chase sparingly is really smart. i can watch troy and abed endlessly. they are so funny! and i love how much of a dork britta is. the fight she and jeff got into with the teenagers was embarrassing, but funny.

Thought it was a great show. And you're right, Britta really is a dork, isn't she? But I felt for Britta and Jeff while watching this. I work with high school students on occasion and I am feeling older and older all the time. Thankfully I've never run into any with this kind of attitude. They save it for behind my back Otherwise, another good outing. Abed and Troy are solid together or by themselves. We haven't seen much Senor Chang the last few episodes, though. I wonder how they'll keep him integrated with the group over next season. I mean, how much Spanish do you need to take at a community college? Find a way, writers. And does anyone know how many episodes are left this season?

They save it for behind my back oh, i don't envy you, mod. i would be terrified to be around packs of teenagers today. i can only imagine. and you are right about chang - we need MORE chang! he is one of their funniest characters. and whatever happened to the guy who was in the first couple of episodes? the british guy? i think jeff was supposed to have been his lawyer, or something at one time, but the guy worked for the school. he didn't last long. i always wondered if that little guy that looks kind of like moby took his place. and i don't know when the last show of the season is, but i'm sure it will be a good one.

Yeah, John Oliver of The Daily Show fame. He was one of my early favorites, too. I thought he was the dean at first until one of his last episodes (early, early in the season) when I realized that Moby was the dean and Oliver was just a professor of some sort.
I had kind of forgotten about him until you mentioned it.

Last night's Community was freaking awesome! The paintball war and action cliche-fest were so good I couldn't help but have a grin on my face the entire time. This show can get a little surreal or silly – sometimes it seems like an extended Scrubs scene – but man, they're good at what they do.
• Jeff waking up in his car and us catching up with him in the first few minutes was great.
• Glover can be really good as Troy. "Jeff Winger. I thought you were dead!" That sounded straight out of about a dozen movies. He was pitch-perfect.
• Britta looks good as a gun-toting hottie. Annie, too.
• Chang: "Put me in the game." Just about lost it there. And him playing the game? All I can say is, welcome back, Senor Chang!
• The Britta-Jeff hookup was nicely done. Didn't overpower the episode and somehow stayed funny. Britta is growing on me quite a bit.
Not sure I interpreted this right, but there seemed to be a little stab at Glee during the park shootout. When the college glee club shoots at them while singing "Hit Me With Your Best Shot," Annie gets upset and stands up, screaming "Write some original songs!" before being shot. EDIT: Other reviews I've read suggest this line was Jeff's, and that may be case. Darn memory.
I have no real problem with Glee, but if it comes down to them or Community? My alliance is with Community.
Great show.

couldn't have said it any better. that had to be the last show of the season, right?
i loved that beginning of the paint ball war - jeff waking up in his car to the deserted, post-apocalyptic campus. and you are totally right, mod. troy was perfect in that scene. abed, as usual, was amazing. they couldn't have found anyone better for his role.
annie popping out of the garbage can in the men's room! and it was annie that made the comment about the glee club. i can't offer an opinion, because i've never seen the show.
that scene where they were huddled around the fire in the garbage can...that show down with chang...and the one with jeff and the dean - i was laughing the whole time. absurd, but hilarious.
and isn't it perfect that abed instantly picked up on the fact that jeff and britta finally did it? totally didn't see it coming, either. it will be fun watching how this plays out.
awesome show. so glad it's coming back.

I saw Joel on the Today Show yesterday. He seemed really stoked that the show had been renewed. They also showed some video of the cast when they were informed. Everyone jumped up and down except Chevy. He just sat there. Joel went and gave him a hug. It all seemed like a "real" moment.

that had to be the last show of the season, right? I finally checked into this and it looks like there are two more left this season. Don't know how they'll top the latest one, but I'll have fun watching to see if they do.

God, the paintball episode was pretty much the best thing ever. This show keeps getting better and better.

just finished last thursday's episode. great to have more chang, finally - and now we know he'll still be around since the gang passed their spanish exam.
i loved the scene with jeff and chang on top of jeff's car, fighting with the - what was it? - keytar?
the funniest part to me was the scene with troy and the plumber. too funny. i loved the set up to troy's secret talent, too - walks up to the chalkboard where the impossible math question was - so you think he's going to figure it out. nope, he steals the chalk and walks off - just happening to fix the water fountain on his way because he's thirsty. awesome.
and the end with pierce and the spanish teacher! yeah!
