I enjoy all of those episodes AND Girl in Lover's Lane is my favorite Joel episode. I'm cool with this. Wait, you have a favorite Joel episode and it's not 'Manos', Torgo? My brain can't process this. There are several factors as to why I took this user name. First of all, I joined this board when it was just a few weeks old, and pretty much I got to name myself after a popular character on the show before anyone else could. I remember a long time ago I was on a message board with some guy with the screenname "Superman," but he later claimed his favorite superhero was Daredevil, he just picked Superman because of the brand recognition. Pretty much the same principal applies with me I guess. Plus back when I joined this board I was more familiar with the Sci-Fi episodes more than anything. The only way I had seen the Joel episodes were through the VHS tapes that Rhino released, and I had only seen ten of them. I don't quite recall if Manos was my favorite Joel episode back then, but if it was then it was in close competition with Cave Dwellers, Eegah, and Mitchell. But that's a small peek at the 19 year old who dared name himself after Torgo way back in 2003. Personally I'm using a USB drive, so this is the way that I do it. Go to your page with the episodes and click on the episode you want. Once on the page of that specific episode click on the box that says "Video Downloads." It's going to give you a definition option, the higher the definition you pick the better the picture, however the lower the definition the faster the download and less space it takes up. Click which definition you want and it will download onto your computer. Once it's on your computer, find the video file under "Downloads." Make sure you have your USB drive inserted into your computer now, and then right click on the video file, and among the options there should be one that says "Send To." Scroll over that and it should give you a list of destinations for your file. The USB drive is the one marked "Removable Disc (E:)." Click on that and it should load onto the drive. Once it's done downloading, the episode is all set in it. You can insert the drive into your blu-ray player, and there should be an option to play what is on your drive. Pick the file and the video will play. But if your player has apps and you want the best "eliminate the middle man" and pay as little as possible to view the episodes, I suggest doing Netflix's month long free trial and just watching it directly through them. It'll cost you nothing and you can cancel at the end of your trial very easily. Plus it'll support the show.

Use Roku to stream via VHX I didn't realize VHX had a Roku app - so glad I don't have to fiddle around with connecting my PC to the TV in the window before they can be downloaded and added to Plex.

Will a USB drive hold all the episodes? Do you know if it can be used with a PS4?

I use a PS4 at my friend's house and it definitely has apps, and Netflix is one of them.
Pu5ting all the episodes on a USB depends on how much storage is on the USB and how much space the episodes take up. I think the largest storage for a USB is typically 64 GB, which could hold 14 of the regular episodes we have now but I would need to see how many gigs the new episodes take up with high definition before I know for sure. But it's definitely possible one could hold them all depending on what definition you use for the episodes. And PS4 can definitely play a USB.

How do you access these "apps" on a PS4?

How do you access these "apps" on a PS4? Go to the Playstation Store, and select the Apps category, or just search for the one you are looking for.

Hopefully I can help a little here, I like media servers and game consoles.
- you should not need a special app to play your downloaded files on PS4. If you can download them in MP4 format (which is what UHX seems to use) you should be able to place them on a USB thumb drive and play them using the PS4s built in media player app (i don't think it has to be downloaded separately, but I could be wrong)
- You can get USB thumb drives in many sizes, commonly up to 128gb right now, or if you get into full sized external hard drives that are much larger in capacity, but more physically bulky. A 128gb drive should DEFINITELY let you fit every episode. I do wish they would announce how much space the episodes will take up so people know how to plan ahead of time.
- you may not be able to stream the episodes on the PS4 over the internet during the window of time prior to when we can download them a couple of days later, since that would need to be accomplished with an actual UHX app, or alternately a web browser. Roku has a UHX app to let you do this, Xbox One has a web browser which I have used to log into the UHX website and stream other episodes in my library. I don't believe either option will work on PS4.

And yes, the path of least resistance is to just watch them on Netflix on the 14th - you'll need an app for that!

Here's a (kinda crappy) video on how to install a Netflix app on your PS4.
From there you sign up to Netflix like normal. Name, email, credit card info, the normal stuff for a site like that. The sign up may or may not give you a code and a website to enter it in, which is to link your PS4 with the account. A few of my TVs have done this (not lately) but I don't know if a PS4 is any different.
Remember, if you do not wish to continue with Netflix, make sure you cancel your account in hour settings when you're done watching the episodes otherwise Netflix will charge you for the next month when your 30 day trial ends automatically. It's a very easy process and it can be done simply with your account settings. Plus if you ever choose to sign back up they still keep your profile and preferences.

Okay, I set up the Netflix "app" and then they mail me the DVD's? Will they send them all at once or one at a time?

I'm pretty sure that Netflix app streams the episodes straight to your PS4, no discs required.

Yeah, plus Ivan from the Kickstarter said the discs (for non-backers) won't be out for a year or so. So if you're hoping for discs, it will be a long wait.

Okay, I set up the Netflix "app" and then they mail me the DVD's? Will they send them all at once or one at a time? The app is for Netflix's streaming service, which allows you to view the episodes directly to your TV. Their by mail disc service is entirely separate and costs extra. You need to sign up for the Netflix streaming account, once in it gives you access to Netflix's streaming library. But I don't suggest you do that until the episodes are added, which will give you more time to view them before your free trial ends.

Oh, okay. I'm not exactly sure what "streaming" is. Is that like On Demand on cable? You pick whichever show you wish to watch from a list of shows?
