This thread is for you to come clean about popular and/or classic movies that you've never seen.
It could be because you just never got around to it, but you hope to someday.
Or it could be that you have no interest whatsoever in seeing a particular film. Perhaps it's been overhyped and you're avoiding it on general principle.
For me, I've never seen any of the Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street movies. In fact, the only horror movies I've ever seen are Halloween (the first one) and Evil Dead (all 3). I just don't like horror movies (sorry Melting Manos), so I probably won't ever see them.
Along those same lines, I've also never seen Psycho or The Shining. No matter how great their directors are, I have no interest in the subject matter.
While not a movie, I've also never seen an episode of Friends. And I never will. And yet, my life isn't lacking because of it.
What say you?

1. Casablanca(for some reason, just doesn't appeal to me) 2. A Clockwork Orange(started to watch it, but it's so violent it turned me off) 3. Dr. Strangelove(no idea why I've never seen it, actually) 4. Spiderman, both movies(not crazy about Tobey McGuire)

By the way, I should have mentioned...
Please give an explanation as to why you haven't seen the film, and whether you hope to in the future.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: list threads are boring.
Thanks.

Probably the most notable for me is the Godfather trilogy. Just never been into the whole mafia movie thing, despite the first two being named two of the best movies of all time. I may see them in the future, but probably not soon.

Mr. A, Evil Dead 2 is homage to the Three Stooges. (The film asks the relevant question, "How many blows to the head can our hero take?" and goes about trying to find out.) I always thought of it as a comedy rather than a horror film, but that's just my take on it.
I have not seen the Spiderman movies, because I don't care.
I have not seen the John Travolta or Tom Cruise movies for reasons that should be more than obvious by now.
Generally, of the classic films, TRUE classics, I've seen them all. Maybe some foreign ones I've missed along the way, but will make up for that in the future.
(Yes, I have seen I Spit On Your Grave. No, I did not like it.)

Wow, I'll have to think about this - If it's a classic I'll watch it. There are some modern ones I've avoided. The Aviator and Gangs of New York, just because I don't enjoy Martin Sorsese films and have finally given up even trying.
Even though I love Steven Soderberg, I have yet to see Traffic - The story just seems too depressing, the cinematography too washed out for me to invest, what 2 hrs on? I keep meaning to get it someday, but keep putting it off.
But for anything older, if I can get my hands on them I'll watch it because I never know when I'll stumble on a favorite.

Yeah, chuck. I loved Evil Dead 2. Mainly because it was the perfect mix of blood and slapstick.

"Gone With The Wind"-I tried. I really did. It's a beautiful movie and I just couldn't make it. "Titanic"-Forced by friends but I kept in the proviso to MSTie it. Half hour in they shut the bastard off. SCORE!!!
A lot of recent stuff, simply by lack of opportunity.

Citizen Kane. I've really really wanted to see this movie, but I can't get anyone else to watch it with me. And I keep forgetting to rent it when I have the chance.
A Clockwork Orange. This is the one Kubrick film I keep forgetting about when I'm in the mood to watch Kubrick films. Nothing I dislike about it in particular, but I just never seem to get around to watching it.
Casablanca. Same as Kane. I really really want to watch it, but no one will sit through it with me, and I keep forgetting to rent it when I have the chance.
Hell's Angels. I would like to see it, but I don't know if they distribute it in a format that can be viewed using my VCR or DVD player.

ET. never had any desire. anything Tom Cruise does besides Top Gun & A Few Good Men. and I hated him in both. he's a horrible actor and quite pretentious. most comic book movies. they bastardize my youth. same with TV show movies. Patton. I don't know why. if it's on, I fall asleep. I'd like to see it some day. I refuse to watch remakes, especially remakes of GREAT films like The Alamo. get creative, Hollywood.

Nah Dr. F, you didn't waste your teenage years watching good movies. Watching classics is never a waste of time.

All of the backgrounds, Tara, Twelve Oaks, etc. were painted on glass. There's a great documentary on the making of GWTW, and it showed this. On a television (no matter how big the screen), it isn't the same. Projected as moving shadows, it works the way it was meant to. Hitchcock's The Birds is the same way. Works MUCH better when you see it projected. Vertigo is a totally different experience in a theater.

Wow, this really depends on your definition of "classic" Citizen Kane...had the ending ruined for me It's the sled....uh OK Gone With The Wind...I don't know why I haven't seen this one. Blade Runner.....seen bits and pieces but this movie bored me There's Something About Mary....this movie was WAY overhyped by...well...by everybody I knew....watched the first 15 minutes and just was not into it. 2001: A Space Odyssey.....again, seen bits but bored me to tears and have not been able to get through it. Sixteen Candles...considered and "80's classic" but most, I grew up in the 80's and have yet to see this movie
