I lot of people seem to hate Delta Knights...that's an episode I find gets better after repeated viewings.

First of all, the show is halarious. Of course, there are many things I find simply funny that aren't on the level with MST3K, so the next factor would be its intelligence. The obscure references really are its strongest point for me (not just pop culture, or MST3K would merely be Family Guy)...it's almost as if they manage to touch everything you could think if. I think we've all had that moment when watching the show where Mike/Joel and or the 'bots would say something so obscure that you thought you were the only one who knew about...like they wrote the joke just for you. That's a feeling I love. And the jokes just have such a great range. From fart jokes to the most obscure reference, the show is consistently brilliant. The final factor is the lovability of the show's characters. The cast is limited and we never really see them do anything serious, yet we feel like we know them personally. It's as if they're a family member. Everyone on the show embodies they're character so well that it seems we know them personally. For instance Bill Corbett's Crow, filled with sarcastic wit, never fails to entertain me. I truly love all of the shows characters, and I definately have a special place for Pearl, whom everyone seems to hate (I guess I just...*get* her style of humor). I just can't get enough of this show.

It's not on Shorts Vol. 2, it's on Vol 1. Like I said above, that riff is on my Shorts video. I stand corrected. I must have been thinking about Collection Vol 2, because that's what shorts vol. 1 is on.

Hey guys, both of these are totally wrong! You really should look into these things before blaming Rhino. First of all, the authors of the first ammendment credit was never in a SCIFI era episode (or if it did it stopped well before Space Mutiny). As for the supposed cut on the shorts vol 2: I saw that same complaint on the Amazon.com user comments (which is where this originated). I watched my DVD of it and I can assure that the dating a Negro line is there and perfectly intact.
Now let's stop blaming Rhino, the people who bring us MST3K on home video, for things that aren't even correct. The only real mistakes they ever made were those concerning packaging and the absence of the Atomic Brain stinger, which Rhino claims wasn't included on the tape they were sent to begin with.

I don't know how often Rhino updates their "Top Sellers" list, but now it only reads: #10 MST3K: Collection Vol. 4 (DVD) That's their top seller list of everything, including music. Visit the Home Video section and you'll find both Vol 2 and 4 in the the top 5.

oh, btw.. Amazon is selling vol. 5 for only 41 dollars instead of 60 like Rhino. They did the same with Vol 4, and then upped it to 50.99 after awhile. I guess we should buy it early.

Oooh, and they have colored disks this time! I don't know if that's a plus or anything, but it makes them look nice. Because you can get fingerprints all over the silver ones. Volume four had colored discs. Also, there maybe a few single disc eps that are colored...Manos is one.

I'm sure we've all checked out the cool Volume 5 promo, but has anyone visited the site? I'm guessing Rhino will link to it when Volume 5 comes out. I think it's really cool that this is happening...it signifies Rhino's growing support of the series, and that's a good thing.

Maybe they could have some sort of replacement system. I dunno. Even if I don't have it, I think that future printings should.

Rhino really does need to correct The Atomic Brain and add its stinger. Whether it was Rhino or BBI's fault, it needs to be fixed at some point.

In the opening credits of Space Mutiny when they have "Cameron Mitchell" someone makes a remark. Also, though it's not a huge time gap, in Hamlet Servo says, "Oooo, there's gonna be railing kills!"

It wasn't THAT bad... Personally, I think it would be cool to see Mike and the 'bots take on Jackson's version.

This 5th set is the worst of them all. not one great episode really. Time Chasers is a classic.
