I still wish they'd go back to low-budget and do it in Shout's basement or something with Joel and some no-name comics who aren't looking to making it big in Hollywood. Stream it on Twitch every week and release the DVDs every year for us hardcore fans who are always going to buy.

Mine too, especially the part where Joel and the bots laid into MegaBillsDocs for their so-called "cutting-edge technologies."

They could probably do the show for 1/10th the budget and make a profit from distribution and DVD sales. In other words, like it was in the 90s. Not that that will happen.

Your BBI MST mentality really makes me wonder if that's part of the special sauce that the Netflix episodes are missing. They definitely feel more "produced," but it's hard to put my finger on why. The fact that you guys are developing it more like BBI MST was developed, and it turns out that it actually *feels* more like BBI MST, is interesting.

You did a great job! I'm really enjoying it. The biggest highlight for me is just how well it nails the atmosphere of the original run.

For that matter, now that I think about it, people ask all the time where I'm from. I'm from Georgia but I live in Seattle, so I get asked about once a month if I'm from Texas or Georgia.

I'm American and if I hear an interesting accent in another American, I always ask where they're from. Maybe say something like "I'm not American and your accent is really cool, what part of the states are you from?" Depends on how formal the call is, though, I suppose.

As someone who works in the entertainment industry and reads news articles on a weekly basis purporting to reveal some drama at my company or past companies, I've learned that you can never, ever understand the real story, unless you're in it. And even then it can be hard to parse out exactly what's happening.
Joel probably has a dozen good reasons for doing it the way he did it, and the rest of the guys probably have a dozen good reasons to be angry.

And of course the classic Satriani tune, which I discovered via this commercial that played during MST commercial breaks on Comedy Central.

I've always wanted to find a copy of Mitchell's soundtrack. It's very 70s at times, especially here. I got in touch with Larry Brown, who scored the movie, and sadly he doesn't have a copy either. He's not aware of it ever being released outside of the movie, but he asked me to let him know if I find it somewhere. He wants a copy of it seeing as how it was one of the first movies he ever scored. I've done some significant internet searching, and it doesn't seem to exist anywhere. Has anyone else ever come across any leads?

It seems like the show could always go low-budget again. It doesn't have to take millions to do the episodes. Build a small set in Shout Factory's building, and play up the low budgetted-ness of it again. Get some actors that aren't in high-demand in the nerd-culture arena.
My guess as to why Netflix is dragging their feet is they looked at the analytics of each episode and saw that most people watched 30-40 minutes and then dropped off, never to return. It's a commitment to watch an entire episode. I think Rifftrax figured this out years ago.
