Gary Busey has taken a few licks. This is true, but they give Gary Busey his props too. Like in the Point Break rifftrax, when they compliment Mr. Busey on being the only actor able to crash a car into the side of an airplane.

I am not as familiar with the rifftrax because its been so long since I've watched any of them, but I've seen a few.
I have to agree with you guys about the new Star Wars series, especially Episode I. Those movies are so bad to watch that even the riffing can't save them. It's a shame too, because I liked Star Wars growing up.
The Wicker Man with Nicholas Cage was pretty hard to get through too, though I must admit, the pace did pick up a bit at the end, when Nick Cage went around punching women in the face. But that movie was just so awful, dismal, and with a depressing ending to wrap it all up. The riffing only made it marginally easier to finish.

I don't think I've ever had a crush on anyone in an MST3K film, honestly. A lot of the people are certainly objectively attractive, but I think that the context of being in an MST3K episode sort of puts a mask over that for me. Definitely a valid point. Though I'm not necessarily talking about an outright crush or obsession with an MST movie character, I'm mostly just inquiring as to who everyone thought was particularly easy on the eyes in these unusual movies. One thing that I have discovered through watching some of these movies as well as the lower budget, poorly acted movies of today, is that its certainly much easier to cast someone who is physically appealing than it is to find a genuine talent.

Hmmmm. As far as brains go, Marvin is of course out in front by a street in the crime department, but not in the picking a girl who isn't a stone cold sociopath department. Jimmy really had him beat there, Kitty was a warmhearted gem who wore ruffly aprons to cook for him! I'm going to give it to Jimmy because he managed to have that je nais se quoi that made everybody around him want to help him and give him money! Poor Marv, the only guy who ever even tried to assist him was his ass of an English teacher and even he turned on him like a rabid dog for writing Betty's paper. You flunk out forever and no scholarship even though I openly admit I can't blame you because of my hurt fee fees! What a jerk. Yes, Marvin was able to plan a caper that probably would have been very successful if he hadn't decided to tell that broad about it. She was a definitely a nut, her other boyfriend too. You don't just walk in on somebody else's crime and try and take it over. Marvin also had the ability to successfully scout out skilled and trustworthy associates to carry out his criminal endeavor. If only he were a better judge of character when it came to his female company. I share your outlook on Jimmy's natural, nervous charisma that simply brought the best out in people. Look at his folks for instance, they were lushes, sure, but they had the best parties and seemed to be having a wonderful time. Look at all the friends they had! Marvin, on the other hand, brought out the worst in everyone around him. His father, too old to work, probably because of Marvin's draining presence, and passed out drunk after the imminent rejection from his lady friend, also likely due to her finding out that Marvin was his son. His teacher seemed to change his opinion rather quick on Marvin once he found out he helped the young lady cheat on her assignment. Taking away the scholarship seemed very harsh, perhaps Marvin had a history of anti-social, disreputable behavior at that school and the cheating incident was merely the last straw for the magnanimous Literature teacher who gave Marvin every chance in the world. Sure, he did okay at his job as a shipping clerk, but as soon as the circumstance presented itself, he decides to rob his boss, the only man who was generous enough to give him a job in the first place. Instead of maybe speaking to his boss to see if there was any way he could get in on the heroin racket, he decides on a whim to steal his boss's hard earned drug money. Jimmy, while admittedly naive and overly eager, was able to hold down two jobs, as a shoe store employee and as a low-level associate of the mafia. And he still found the time to write award winning Essay's for the Essay Contest! In conclusion, I'm going to have to argue that Jimmy was indeed the more successful, vastly more talented criminal. As you mentioned, he was able to con everyone around him into handing over their money to him and give him jobs. He is able to con the diner owner into giving him a job, a free room, and a delicious meal, as continosbuckle mentioned, when all the greasy spoon operator knew about him was that he intended to rob him at gun point. Not to mention how masterfully he was able to convince the judge that he was not to blame for his mafioso lifestyle because his parents didn't dote on him enough. That judge didn't expect to have such a cool customer as Jimmy in his courtroom that morning. In the case of Kitty, of course she feel hard and fast for young, dapper Jimmy. He won the Essay Contest for heaven's sake! And I think she knew just by spending a few minutes with him that he was headed for bigger things than that shoe salesman job. I don't think it was an accident that she was wholly responsible for the sequence of events that put Jimmy under the wing of a local mafia don. Kitty likely recognized she was in the presence of a upwardly mobile young talent when she met Jimmy, and that her mobster boyfriend has run his course, in crime and in the relationship, that is why she didn't stop Jimmy from confronting his old mentor, she knew that it was Jimmy's time now and her ex old man was as good as dead if he squared off with sly, criminal mastermind Jimmy.

I was smart when I bought the MST3K movie on DVD. I'm not sure what happened to my VHS copy, but the DVD was such a limited release that it went for around 200-300 dollars on ebay. I waited around 4 months, and then what do I see on the Wal-Mart shelves? The re-release DVD copy of the movie! I don't think my feet even touched the ground as I took it and ran to the front registers! Oh, I remember that, they just stopped making the DVD version shortly after it came out didn't they? I remember seeing the exorbitant prices on ebay back then.

I'm sure a thread like this has been done before, but I didn't see one so I thought I'd give it a whirl.
Which actors/actresses from MST episodes were you most smitten by? Who did you see in some of these ridiculous movies who made you think, "wow he/she is quite attractive considering the poor, low-budget quality of this movie"
I'm not talking about acting chops, this is purely cosmetic and shallow as it sounds lol. I'm just talking about physical attractiveness in this situation.
For me, I vote for the girl in "Boggy Creek 2", the tanned, brunette who even the gruff Crenshaw declared her "a man's kinda woman". I think the actresses name was Serene Heddin, which Mike thought was a half-hearted attempt at a porno name.
And of course, the lovely, buxom Mamie Van Doren from "Untamed Youth". She was beautiful.
I must also agree with Servo on the actress who played Creepy Girl, her mysteriousness was quite alluring, especially from that uncertain feeling you get from not knowing exactly what ethnic group she comes from, we can rule out Germanic, perhaps she's one of those swarthy, Mediterranean types.
I have no idea who the actress is, someone else might know, but the blonde haired girl from "The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed Up Zombies". The girl who they show in the nightmare, fever dream who they show laughing loudly, to which Servo replies WIPEOUT! if I remember correctly.
Anyone else wanna get in on this?

That's about how much you'll have to pay to get the Rhino set with Godzilla vs. Megalon. Why is that set so much?? Out of print and very popular I assume. I bought that one years ago when they first released it.

Thanks for the clips. I've enjoyed the show though I've rarely had time to listen more than once per week. I've only watched a couple Davey Mac is a fave so I watched that one. Dice Clay was great too. Now you are making me want to subscribe right away. He had Davey Mac and Dice already?? That is wonderful news. Poor Davey Mac, Sirius wouldn't give him a raise so he could afford the gas money it took him to make it in studio, and he was such a huge part of Ron and Fez IMO. Was Ant doing his Dice impression while speaking with Clay? That could have gotten awkward lol.

As for the movie, I might take a look at that. Thanks for bringing it up I forgot all about it lol.

Seahawks looked pretty good their first time out. Marshawn is still my main man! Go skittles! I love watching a bruising back like that and fear the NFL will eventually turn into game of catch. So it's nice to know there's still a team that runs hard and play tough defense. I love these players, these coaches, the 12th man... the total vibe surrounding this club is electrifying. Man, Seattle has been a force these past few seasons. Speaking of Marshawn Lynch, remember this from the playoffs a few seasons back. You know how depressing it was to watch that game as a lifelong N.O. fan. I can look back on that video and laugh now, mostly because of the Tecmo Bowl sound effects lol. Remember that Nintendo game? Videos like that are why I love youtube.
