Hopefully Joel can get the KTMA stuff figured out in the next week or so. I think there will be some hardcore fans who don't care at all about the reboot who will gladly donate money for unseen KTNA stuff.

I know of a lot of terrible movies, but most of them wouldn't work because of the MST3K's PGish rating. Somebody else mentioned R.OT.O.R. Even though Rifftrax has done it, that would be a good choice. I was thinking about Konga the other day as a possible film.

Yes, Kickstarter's website lists a maximum pledge of 10,000 for U.S based projects. I don't believe you can officially pledge more than that.

We made it to 2.75 million. I hope we reach 3.3 million to unlock the KTMA stuff.

It's possible we could reach 2.75 million a day early, which would make it easier to reach 3.3 million by the end of Turkey Day.

I'm curious to see how the hardline traditionalist fans who have so far refused to back the Kickstarter will respond with KTMA episodes on the table. Will folks rooting against the Kickstarter pledge $35 for a chance to see the famed lost episodes of MST3k? (Theoretically, I think some will. But I've noticed some of the anti's over on Satellite News seem to be pro-Mike, anti-Joel, as they don't get why Joel's involvement is exciting for folks). The most common complaint I've heard is that they aren't interested because none of the old cast (especially Trace) is returning. I don't know if the KTMA episodes will persuade them. Personally, I hate the idea of MST3K existing that I can't watch, but some might not get over the "it's a new cast, so it stinks" mentality.

Thanks! Good to know she's getting the word out. (I haven't signed up with an account of my own on Twitter or on Facebook, which limits how much I can follow social media. Discussion forums like this one are as close as I want to get!) In the meantime, I've been following along on Kicktraq, and it looks as if we just crossed the $120K mark for the day! That surpasses the total for November 18th, and before the day is over, we may even surpass the totals for the 17th or even the 13th (about $135K and $142K, respectively). If so, that would make today one of the top five days of the campaign so far! I believe we just passed the 135K mark for the day.

The full quote is this:
if you help us make the newest episodes of MST3K, you might just get to see the oldest episodes of MST3K.
Which would imply that they plan on releasing more than one of the first three KTMA episodes.

Just as you are all complaining, the update hit! Won't spoil it, but it sounds like the early KTMA episodes will be rewards for hitting $3.3M by Turkey Day.... Yes, he implied it anyway. I hope we reach it just for these episodes. Also Felicia Day has been confirmed as playing Dr. Forrester's daughter.

We just hit 2.3 million. There is less than a million dollars to six episodes with 23 days left.

what is the deal with Susan Hart and Roger Corman anyway (and Toho too). would love to see Godzilla episodes on dvd. i know they were both on youtube for sometime. I've always heard Susan Hart is very protective of her films and very litigious. Toho is protective of the Godzilla films (for obvious reasons). I don't know about Corman. The Godzilla vs Megalon DVD was released and quickly pulled.

I think six episodes is probably a safe bet at this point. I assume Turkey Day will revolve around the Kickstarter and donations will increase then. I really hope we get to twelve. I know some people are still holding out for the official unveiling of the Mad and the bot voices.
