Logged in to the Gizmoplex to download a copy of Munchies and found out the non-premiere version of 'Doctor Mordrid' is already up for viewing.
So either have at it or wait till the livestream I guess?

The sponsor ads are part and parcel of independent production, same with most podcasts or other online ventures. They've just woven them in with the characters mid-show like the Golden Age of Television. I think that's endearing. And let's not forget that the show isn't a stranger to shilling products. Who could forget this timeless classic?

Is there a bonus disc? If so, what's on it? There is a bonus disc that is exclusive to this set. It includes:
. Intro (Joel thanking everyone for pledging to season 12) . Behind the Sketches . Inside the Riffs . Under the Puppets . Scaling the Models . Outro (Joel wonders why we're still watching the special features)
{Spoiler during the Outro} Joel says "See you next season"

Mine just arrived today. And in case any fans outside of America and Canada are wondering, the set is region free.

Also got an email telling me mine has shipped too. Judging from the previous items and how quickly they arrived, I think this one will be with me by Saturday.

The KTMA version of 'Star Force: Fugutive Alien II' existed up till sometime around 2008. When Jim Mallon overhauled the official website (around the same time as the flash cartoons) he included a 'Genesis' page which covered the days of KTMA and in that page were clips from the first three KTMA episodes. Those clips had never been released before and Jim no doubt had to make digital copies of the episodes so he could uploads the clips.
Seems like between then and the kickstarter, the mastertape for K03 seems to have been misplaced (hopefully) but there is the possibility of the digital copy existing, unless Jim only had digital copies of the clips made rather than the episodes.

That cameo was totally unexpected! Mad props to everyone involved in the show for keeping that one a secret!

Jonah McDonah and Gypsy Grimmace will forever be nightmare fuel personified for me. I really enjoyed the host segments. Jonah's acting in that particular segment made it laugh out loud funny to me. Oh dude, don't get me wrong, I thought it was a great host segment, I just honestly wasn't expecting them to riff on Ronald McDonald and Grimmace like that. Took me off guard. Plus Ronald alone is creepy as all hell, so Jonah McDonah just took the creep factor and multiplied it by 10.

While I found the riffing to be enjoyable with this episode, the movie itself was a slog to get through. It was just so bland and boring. The movies have to engage me enough for me to actually enjoy an episode, no matter how bad or stupid they are. But 'Atlantic Rim'? I found myself pausing the episode every 15 minutes or so just because the movie was lame.

For me, the choice of 'Atlantic Rim' is controversial because it seems like a lazy choice of movie. As others have mentioned, The Asylum produce movies that are deliberate bad, they know exactly the types of movies they are making and that they also produce cheap, lazy ripoffs of big Hollywood blockbusters, even going as far as to use similar titles in hopes of suckering in unsuspecting people.
I have noticed some people complaining of it's choice because it was produced in the last five years but that doesn't really bother me, because some of my favourite episodes from the Sci-Fi channel era feautred movies that had been made in the 1990s, like 'Future War' and 'Soultaker'. Future War had only been released two years prior to it's MST3K debut.
Maybe 'Atlantic Rim' will be the gem of the new season, only time will tell, but I hope that future seasons will refrain from using The Asylum movies.

Word about the BBFC listings might have gotten around because the listings for those five episodes are no longer on the BBFC website.

Don't know about this. The humor has a lot to do with the delivery. If I'm just reading it, even though I can have their respective voices in my head, it might not come across as being as funny as watching the show. I had that experience when I bought the script for the Eegah! Live show that they did. The show got good reviews by people who WENT to the show, but just reading it, it was just okay.
Just a thought, but maybe with this comic series will bring about a different riffing experience than just making jokes. Maybe Jonah and the bots are placed into the comics (via the magic of a new Kinga machine) and Jonah and the bots are able to interact within the panels as well?
