I'm excited. This is the first time I pre-ordered a set. I never had the money in the past and I've kind of been putting the show off since I got my job, but I purchased volume seven not to long ago and my love for MST reblossomed. I haven't seen three of the episodes as well, so that makes me even more happy.
Now I just got to take that long journey to buying all previous sets. It's going to be an expensive road.

Well, the company doesn't exist any more and I didn't think I'd be sued if I copped it. At least, I HOPE it doesn't exist any more!!! ;D

Mine arrived today. (Deep Discount DVD is located in-state, so 5-10 business days usually means 3.) I don't think ISCWSLABMUZ is too dark. And the sound is good. Feel free to disagree. The sound and picture on Sinister Urge are great. Feel free to disagree. The picture on Wild Rebels is really good. (Much better than my EP tape) The sound of the movie seems muted compared to the Best Brains material. (Again, Compared to my EP tape) Feel free to disagree. Added: The more I listen to it, the more I think this is a debatable point. I was comparing scene-for-scene, and the tape seemed louder. Upon further review, the DVD may be quieter, but not that much. Do yourself a favor, though: turn down the sound for the menu screen, or you'll go deaf. The picture on Women of the Prehistoric Planet is great. The sound of the movie seems a little muted, but otherwise fine. Feel free to disagree. I haven't found any glitches like Dead Talk Back - yet. :-) For the rights-conscious, Rhino has included this on the back: "Underlying rights to Women Of The Prehistoric Planet under license from Krypton International Films, Inc. "Underlying rights to Wild Rebels under license from Crown International Pictures, Inc. "Underlying rights to The Sinister Urge under license from Sinister Cinema, Inc. "Underlying rights to The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-Up Zombies under license from Media Blasters, Inc." [Edited to expand on Wild Rebels]

Does Wild Rebels have the stinger?...it was missing on my fan made copy. Hey. What do you know: It doesn't. From copyright 1990 Best Brains Inc. to A Best Brains Production I've never seen the stinger, my tape cuts off before it. Plus, I wasn't looking for it when I went through - so there could be, you know, huge chunks, of the films potentially missing! Sinister Urge and ICS both have their stingers, though. Women of the Prehistoric Planet is missing it's stinger also ... hmmm...

The Amazing CEG has Wild Rebels listed as having a stinger. Where did that puppy go? Anyone have it?

I don't think it has one. My fan copy goes to the end to the best brains screen like all the others with no stinger.

Okay, a quick trip to Google*, and the consensus of the reviews on the first page is NO STINGER, despite the ACEG claim "Steve Alaimo dances around like he has ergotism." (I assume this is from the club scene when they are begging the audience to watch anything other than Steve dancing. From mst3k.com's brief episode guide: "For some reason, this episode has no stinger--the last episode with no stinter until the brief stinger hiatus in season eight. Maybe they just forgot." * The sites: A Year In The Theater www.sfdebris.com/mst3k.htmlSatellite News tv.com

#104 doesn't have a stinger because they didn't start doing stingers until sometime in season 2.
