Trust me, Wild Rebels doesn't have a stinger...never did. Well, I do now. And Tor? I was kidding.

For the rights-conscious, Rhino has included this on the back: "Underlying rights to Women Of The Prehistoric Planet under license from Krypton International Films, Inc. "Underlying rights to Wild Rebels under license from Crown International Pictures, Inc. "Underlying rights to The Sinister Urge under license from Sinister Cinema, Inc. "Underlying rights to The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-Up Zombies under license from Media Blasters, Inc."
Hmmm... It sounds like instead of Rhino purchasing the rights for this box set, they are just being licensed out. It's probably cheaper and means that we might get more episodes that we wouldn't expect to (Like ISCWSLABMUZ)....

As I said, I'd never seen the the credits of Wild Rebels, so I believed ACEG. But, I still wonder if there wasn't supposed to be one that just isn't on the broadcast master? I'm really blue-skying, since I don't know what tapes Mike Nelson used when he reviewed that episode. Does anyone know if this contradiction was ever asked after?

Does liscensing imply that Rhino can only release episdoes for a limited time?

Maybe that's part of why Beginning of the End was withdrawn?

That's what I'm thinking maybe if they release eps this way they can release more of them, just for a shorter amount of time.
BTW: leaving to pick up my copy when my girlfriend gets home from work. Can't wait!

Can't wait! Mine is coming in the mail...and has to go to my PO Box....and it's not big enough to hold the thing....and the counter is only open until 5:30 when I get off work....so I'm probably not going to actually have mine in hand until Saturday. But I'll live.

I haven't seen Wild Rebels in well over a decade so I'll rely on you guys (and gals) regarding the stinger. I think I remember reading that somewhere (probably Chris Cornell's site).
That's very good information, Laserblast (about the rights on these). It could fortell what might be coming next.
FYI to all going to Best Buy: their website has it listed for $41.99 and in store the sticker has $49.99. I probed into this when I got to the check out counter and they sent me over to customer service where the guy got me all fixed up and only charged me the website price (plus tax, of course).
Just a word to the wise.

Just a word to the wise. If it weren't for the $5 off at the register they've been giving for these reissues of "The X Files", I'd avoid Best Buy completely. They're always more expensive than everyone else.

Hmmm... It sounds like instead of Rhino purchasing the rights for this box set, they are just being licensed out. It's probably cheaper and means that we might get more episodes that we wouldn't expect to (Like ISCWSLABMUZ).... Actually, I think "licensing" = "rights." Rhino licenses music from other publishers all the time. So when they say "getting the rights" they perhaps mean "getting the license." Here's a disclaimer from Rhino's old D.I.Y compilation series: "Due to licensing restrictions, recordings by The Clash were unavailable for inclusion on this collection." (They probably added this since they covered all the other salient British Punk bands on that compilation and the omission was certainly glaring.) I haven't found any licensing information on previous MST releases, but they might now need to reveal that information. I don't really know, I'm not a copyright lawyer.
