I noticed it that first night but I didn't mention it here in the forum. It looks like a tape glitch, to me. Didn't really bother me though, at all. I guess it just bugs me that I'm paying money for episodes that have glitches that - if they had similar problems - I wouldn't trade my taped episodes with other MSTies as being "subpar".

I just got my set today (really excited to watch em' all!) and found a minor glitch with "Women of the Prehistoric Planet" but it's so brief that it's not worth complaining about. Not a bad episode, either!

Where is Mallon storing these tapes? Under his mattress?

all the rhino eps has a small little glitches in the movies but they go so fast to see them that it's not really a problem unlike Dead Talk Back

Well, at least this time around it looks like Rhino actually tried. I think the whole Killer Shrews SNAFU made them realize that MST3K fans are adamant about their show.

It kinda bums me out that the masters of MST3K are slowly rotting away. I mean, with fan trading (now in digital format), there will always be good copies of the CC/SciFi shows, but it's still sad to think that the actual original prints apparently aren't being kept in decent storage. And if this is happening with Comedy Central episodes, think about what's probably happening with the KTMA's, if they still exist at all...

I just finished watching The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies. A tape line lasts for about a second a la Hobgoblins, 4 minutes in during the Pearl and Space Children scene. During the movie, well it's hard to tell because the footage is aweful. I'm going to say all clear.

Really, I don't think such trivial split-second imperfections in the tape are worth getting all worked up about. As far as I'm concerned, Rhino pulled through in a big way on this set.
My copy arrived a few days ago from Amazon, but I haven't watched it yet - I'm still on my quest to see every episode in order, and I'm currently between "The Crawling Hand" and "Robot Monster". "Women of the Prehistoric Planet" will have to wait until after "The Black Scorpion".

Ahem... I think we may have congratulated Rhino too soon.... Or maybe I'm the only one with a glitch on The Sinister Urge? At the beginning of chapter 10 (Rumble!)....just before and when Servo says, "Hi, I'm running for Porn Queen..." I didn't notice it before. I must have been looking away. Am I the only one who has this problem? And why....WHY...do these Rhino glitches ALWAYS happen during the movies? Never during the host segments or the little commercial bumpers? Makes me really wonder if these are really tape problems. Do you mean where the screen goes black for a frame? That's in the original. It's on my tape-off-broadcast. Now, there is a weird little digital smear on the shadowrama while Mike says "Teens come running for the good taste of porn." It happens when you run it full speed. I tried going frame-by-frame but couldn't find it. (I don't know what that means)

I noticed no problems in Strange Creatures. Besides the movie itself, you mean.

How are the intros by the stars of the films? I noticed that no one said anything about those yet.
