Women of the Prehistoric Planet and Isaac Asimov's sideburns are all clear.

Wasn't there supposed to be short intros or whatever with Conrad Brooks and the one woman from Women form the Prehistoric Planet?

Wasn't there supposed to be short intros or whatever with Conrad Brooks and the one woman from Women form the Prehistoric Planet? Yes, I've just seen Prehistoric. It was okay, nothing spectacular. It lasted about minute and a half.

The one with Conrad Brooks just made me think of that riff: "And the Oscar for Editing goes to..."

How are the intros by the stars of the films? I noticed that no one said anything about those yet. The intros are cute but nothing to die for. Their basicly just the actors sharing small tidbits about the film that you may not have known, and probably didn't care about in the first place. I'm not even sure the actors knew what Mystery Science Theater was though.

Does anyone else think that on the inside picture of the one car it looks like there is a blow-up doll in the passenger seat? It seriously looks kinda odd hah.

The intros are cute but nothing to die for. I didn't buy Vol 8 because I had good copies already and there were no extra features. I think I'll buy Vol 9 but I'm still deeply disappointed in the so called "extras". They could do better. They should do better.

MST3K Scraptape would make the BEST extra ever!

So yeah, nothing really to complain about here... though I second whoever pointed out the sharpened credits on Wild Rebels; I seem to remember the credits being blurry in the original episode, hence the "glaucoma players" riffs.

I already own all these episodes on dvd. I bought this collection just for the Irene Tsu interview. I hope it's more than just a minute and a half! I feel gypped! Though it was a good idea.

That really sums up the DVD extras..."Good idea, but not enough."

The Conrad Brooks intro cracked me up. He's so dramatic. His speaking pattern reminded me of Ernest Borgnine (the Grandpa) reading the stories to that little kid in Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders.

Yeah, I'm still pretty dissapointed that the DAP-DVD's often have better extras than the Rhino releases. It's a crime that they don't release a special or two (Robot's Choice Awards, Summer Blockbuster Reviews, etc.) in each box set. Would the rights be a problem with those?
