Ok yeah but rifftrax is boring It is very boring the way they just make riffs and then sell them, assumedly make some level of profit, and then make more. What an odd business practice. Although I guess it works for them, they've been doing it consistently for like 15+ years. *shrugs*

At RiffTrax, besides Mike, Kevin, and Bill there's - David G. Martin: CEO David D. Martin (no relation):Technical Director (Per his LinkedIn, that's "Oversee all post production work including video encoding, streaming media, live production, DVD authoring, and video editing. Facility management. General operations management.") (The Martins are the ones who took RiffTrax independent from Legend Films in 2012.) That must be horribly confusing. I can picture the Abbott and Costello routine in my mind.

I only saw a few dvds over the years.. other than that it's always been digital. any big titles that stick out as being particularly bad?

Ok yeah but rifftrax is boring counterpoint: I like rifftrax. Bonus thought: I think Rifftrax the game could be a lot of fun and I'm glad they are trying something innovative. It's a great time for movie riffing fans.

RT has worked out very well for what they do. It's not always to my taste, especially the shift in tone, but when it hits it's great. I prefer the buffer of the MST3K world and the irreverent creativity of the puppets and artifice on top of it, but I've had my share of good times with RT. It's not an either/or.

I complain about Joel’s bizarre adventure a lot but at least it isn’t the most phoned in thing ever lol I don't know about the most phoned in ever, but yes RiffTrax does phone in a lot of their content these days. I still enjoy a moderate amount of rifftrax, but usually I am watching because I think the movie looks fun and the riffs are, i wouldn't say secondary, but not the main focus. I stand by my statement though that they should get props for creating and continuing a real business model and not this ongoing nostalgia-telethon-huckster thing Joel is running.

I'm re-watching 1301, the upgraded version. The more I watch this one, the more I like it. I really enjoy the feel, it's like the kids show that's not a kid's show I stumbled unto all those many years ago. 1301 just may be my favorite Jonah episode to date!

most underrated riff.. when he is spelling out alucard on the paper and the score is going nuts.
Servo: The suspense is killing the orchestra.
