Probably worth noting that tbe transfer they used for Bloodlust on their re-release of Volume 1 had flaws that weren't present in the previous volume release. Don't know if they can really just reuse the Rhino transfer, but if they could why didn't they do so in that instance as well? Most of the early DVD releases have little bits missing from them such as bumpers, the Turn Down Your Lights sign (Seasons 2 & 3) and slate cards (Seasons 4 & 5). Bloodlust was an early release so they made a new transfer, with all of the bumpers intact this time, and put it out despite the new tape flaws that are present. They're not disruptive enough to be that big of an issue though. The huge flaw that's present on Pod People is so bad that it would just be uncaring and lazy for Shout! to release it as is on a more widely marketed DVD like this. Triple_sSs, what exactly was your question? They seem to think it might only be a flaw on their own streaming service? And if they think they're putting out the same transfer from the old DVD does that mean they haven't thoroughly checked both versions for problems (whether it be missing bumpers or disruptions in the picture and audio)? I can say for sure that the copy they have streaming on Shout! Factory TV is the same as what I downloaded from the Vimeo On Demand site. That damaged spot is either present on the master tape or it somehow got there when they made the new transfer however long ago they made it (I'm no expert on this technical stuff, I just can't think of what else it could be).

Anybody know if Shout's transfer still has this issue? I got it from here and it still has that problem. I first saw Pod People around 2011 on Netflix and it definitely had that corrupted part since I remember being startled by it. This was even the same version that they streamed for the 2014 Turkey Day marathon. The old transfer does seem to be available for streaming elsewhere (I rented it on Amazon not too long ago) so you'd think they'd be able to splice in the un-corrupted part from that into the newer transfer for a proper release like this.

Based on the digital copy that's been available for awhile now I'm sure it will (it's got other things that were missing on the old DVD like the "Turn Down Your Lights" sign and some bumpers too). What I'm wondering is if they took the time to patch up a part about an hour in where the video and the audio starts to get all garbled for like half a minute.
As a newer fan who missed out on the earlier DVDs when they came out, I'm definitely getting this. In particular, I've been waiting for a re-release of Angels Revenge (I'm probably in the minority in it being my favorite of these three episodes) and getting the other two are just nice bonuses as far as I'm concerned.

Unless there's a delay again, like there was for XXXIII, I'm pretty sure we'll get an announcement next Tuesday when XXXIV comes out.

The documentary is about the length of an average episode, about 1:32:00.
I'm wondering how recently this set was being prepared? With the four-week early pre-order, I feel like they were only just manufactured which might explain the lack of bonus features/Hour Wraps this time around. Also, how late could they possibly have acquired these four titles?

I'm really hoping they put it on the next set (I'd like to see it with Teenage Caveman, 12 to the Moon and any eligible Sci-Fi era show). It's been nearly four years since the last Season 7 ep. came out too.

I hate to bring this up, but should Stranded in Space even be considered likely anymore? I'm sure it's probably just because of dealing with the big boys, but Shout Factory hasn't released its final CBS episode since.... well, box set 23 which was in 2012. It's been 3 years now. Not that I have any idea what I'm talking about, but I'm under the impression that they're holding off on putting it out partly because it's not a well-regarded/well-known episode and partly due to the other deals they've been making which take a much higher priority. I'm expecting it to show up when they absolutely need a fourth episode to fill out a set.

I'm pretty fond of The Hellcats and Kitten With a Whip. I'd also like to echo those who said It Lives By Night and Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster.

By the end the guys are simply shouting in their trauma, with the end credits a mass of screams and gunfire (which irritated me to no end). It's things like this that make me very wary of looking into RiffTrax any more than I have. Does anybody actually like it when they do this? Yeah, the movie's bad. We can see that. I don't care how terrible it is, you don't need to have an extreme reaction to it. It's such a lazy substitute for actual jokes.

I'm almost 100% certain that 403, 405, 416, 601 & 905 have consistently been "Not Likely" for as long as I've been checking this thread (about 3 or 4 years now). Maybe 405 was "Likely" or "Extremely Unlikely" at one point or another, but I'm pretty sure the others haven't changed. I think 906 was "Extremely Unlikely" for a while.

I don't have a good looking copy of The Undead (well, it's alright), but how about these two? They're taken directly from the official DVDs. Attachments:

I'll back what wattamack said for the most part. If you care about (and are even aware of) the missing bumpers on the Rhino DVDs, the Shout! re-issues might be of interest to you just for those. They appear to be new transfers (I'm far from an expert). Most of them look fine, not any better or worse than the old DVDS. There are at least two episodes (Beginning of the End & Red Zone Cuba) that have taken some damage over the years. I don't think there's anything too bad, save for a bit in the closing skit of "Beginning". I would consider checking out:
Gunslinger (good transfer, "slate" card and all bumpers intact) Beginning of the End (tape damage noticeable in some spots but all bumpers intact) The Atomic Brain (looks good overall, slate card, all bumpers and stinger intact) Red Zone Cuba (some slight tape damage, mostly at the beginning, all bumpers intact)
None of the Sci-Fi era episodes that I have (I never bought Touch of Satan) are any better or worse than the Rhino versions, while Batwoman is pretty much the same as the Rhino DVD. Both releases are missing the slate card and some of the bumpers. The Unearthly looks at least as good as the old DVD and the "Turn Down Your Lights" sign is back but otherwise there's no major differences. Only the old DVD has the host segment outtakes.
